The Ulster Aviation Society, Lisburn
Although it's been around for years, The Ulster Aviation Society is an ever popular choice. It utilises brand new ideas inspired from the history of aviation. As Lisburn & Castlereagh's most popular tourist destination, it's appeared on television with the intrepid idea of recreating the flight of Harry Ferguson, a famous local engineer, who was the first person to build and fly his own plane in Northern Ireland.
Clenaghan's Restaurant is a new venture re-imagining a well known local pub. With the idea of making the most of the ingredients around us and trying to get as much flavour out of them as possible, both the restaurant menu and more laid back pub draw visitors from far and wide to the village. It's a great idea for the first or fiftieth date.
La Mon Hotel, Comber
La Mon is ideal for couples with it's great leisure & spa breaks and most of all offers the chance to escape the bustling city (and the kids). Additionally, guests can enjoy the range of facilities of La Mon’s Country Club. These include a 15 metre swimming pool, two fitness suites and a tennis court.

The Ivanhoe Inn, Carryduff
Situated only 6 miles from Belfast City Centre, The Ivanhoe Hotel in the suburban and residential area of Carryduff, began its existence back in the 1800s as a Spirit Grocers, known as The Halfway House – a well-known stopping-off point for travellers on their way from Belfast to Saintfield.

Candy Plum, Hillsborough
Candy Plum is nestled right in the heart of the beautiful Georgian village of Hillsborough, County Down. As stated in the name, this award winning boutique is drenched in scrumptious plum tones. It has been dubbed by many of Northern Ireland's industry experts as a serious contender to be one of the country's finest boutiques.
The Still House, Moira
The Still House is a fantastically innovative idea brought to Moira by the creators of Ruby Blue Vodka. Situated in the popular local Four Trees pub, the Still House main bar will be opening at the beginning of January with a gin distillery and visitor centre being created in a tastefully renovated barn around March.
Lyons Karting, Hillsborough
Lyons Karting is a fantastic, fast flowing go-karting circuit in Northern Ireland. Five minutes from Lisburn and five minutes from Hillsborough, it’s in the ideal location for the lads to fulfil their need for speed. Lyons Karting also supplies Grand Prix Karting, stag and hen parties, corporate and club events. Also on site is a small venue to get a bite to eat and a drink.
Castlereagh Hills Golf Course, Castlereagh
Castlereagh Hills Golf Course is located on Upper Braniel Road in the heart of the magnificent Castlereagh countryside. The facility is located only 4 miles from Belfast City Centre and has a wealth of free car parking spaces. The course overlooks Strangford Lough and County Down and has acquired a reputation as the hidden gem of municipal golf courses in Northern Ireland.
Hillmount Centre, Castlereagh
Hillmount Centre is one of Northern Ireland’s Largest nurseries. Customers are offered a perfect haven nestled in amongst the scenic Castlereagh Hills. Additionally, it can trace its roots back to the Second World War when Hill Mercer established a business growing much needed vegetables for the local markets. Most noteworthy is their Gardeners’ Rest Cafe, which avails of views over the beautiful Castlereagh Hills.
Lagan Tow Path, Lisburn
The Lagan Valley Tow Path provides an excellent walk full of wildlife and wonder all the way to Belfast! The route is 11 miles long with soft surfaced paths away from busy roads. It is equally, however, ideal for a gentle stroll, utilising the many varied locations linked along the way. Additionally, Lagan Valley Island is now home to a new ‘Made in Lisburn Castlereagh’ Coffee Dock, serving a selection of locally produced and sourced products. The Coffee Dock serves gourmet sandwiches, wraps and salads from popular local café Daltons, as well as tempting homemade treats baked fresh and Organic Fairtrade coffee. It’s also open at the weekends from 10am to 2pm! What's more, you can follow the path up to Hilden and discover the secret of the master brewer at Hilden Brewery, Northern Ireland's oldest craft beer manufacturer.
Out of Habit, Hillsborough
Out of Habit is situated in the beautiful Georgian village of Hillsborough. Customers can enjoy the historic location in this 17th Century building, while also relaxing by a fire or, conversely, the secluded garden. Additionally, freshly ground coffee is served to sit in or take out, so why not take a look around the Georgian village with it's many small boutiques and royal charm.
