Originally a market house built in the 1700s by the Hills family - this wonderful Georgian building acted as a courthouse right up until the 1980s until being converted into a museum exhibition and event space. Today, it acts as the home of both Historic Royal Palaces and Hillsborough Visitor Information Centre.
Currently the building is used for events, wedding receptions and also as the front of house for Hillsborough Castle tours. In the very near future, the Courthouse will receive a new lease of life as a living, interactive museum to act as part of Historic Royal Palaces renovation plan.
With so much to do in Hillsborough Village, why not consider an overnight in somewhere such as Dunhill?
