Spend an hour and visit Lisburn City’s newest attraction, The Limestone Way, centred on Belshaw’s Quarry National Nature Reserve, Bensons Road. Excavations have revealed unique evidence all in one little area of a fascinating geological ‘cake’.

Explore eleven features and evidence spanning 250 million years from when the earth looked nothing like it does now, when dinosaurs roamed, volcanoes erupted and ice ages carved the earth.

From there, take a walk along the adjacent road along the side of the Lagan Valley, to see more features and look out over the valley to the Mourne Mountains beyond.

Never miss an event or new attraction
