Find out what it’s like to be a children’s illustrator with Paul Howard, the Seamus Heaney Centre’s Children’s Writing Fellow for Northern Ireland. Paul illustrated the very well-known and much loved The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark, written by Jill Tomlinson and published by Farshore Books. Paul will share the process behind illustrating a writer’s story and will show you how to draw Plop the owl, in twelve easy steps. You will also produce a new cover for the classic story and be part of creating a parliament of owls!
