Event Details
We have organised a Newcomers’ Welcome Day at the museum when people who have recently moved to the Lisburn and Castlereagh area from other countries will share their culture. This day is for everyone – a fantastic and fun opportunity to find out more about cultures in your local area that you may not be familiar with.
The event takes place on Saturday 17 August 2024 from 11am – 4pm and is part of our ‘Yours, Mine & Ours’ project, which aims to encourage newcomers to get to know their local museum.
Participants have booked tables to display objects, textiles, and crafts from their country. The closing date to apply for a table was 10 July 2024, as previously advertised on our website and social media channels.
We are so excited, and really look forward to welcoming all of you!
