Spring Spectacular, Hillsborough Castle & Gardens

See the gardens of Northern Ireland’s royal residence erupt in spectacular colour as Spring Spectacular returns for 2024. Be dazzled by over half a million bulbs in bloom. 

Spring will erupt in a riot of colour in the 100-acre royal gardens. Following 2023’s stunning inaugural event, this year will see even more diversity. 76 different varieties will be spring to life, of which 32 are new to the gardens. Daffodils and crocuses will mark the emergence of the gardens from winter, handing over to tulips and camassia later in the spring. Don’t miss admiring the large selection of rare Northern Irish daffodils.

Don’t miss the enchanting Lindt GOLD BUNNY Hunt this Easter season, as the Lindt Gold Bunny hops over to Hillsborough Castle and Gardens for the very first time. Immerse your family in the magic of spring with this special adventure.

Embark on a captivating journey as you explore the stunning gardens of Hillsborough Castle. As you explore the 100 acres, be on the lookout for elusive Lindt Gold Bunny statues peeking out from half a million colourful blooms as part of Spring Spectacular. Hidden amongst the charming Lindt Gold Bunny are letters that hold the key to a secret question.

High Rise, Lisburn

High Rise is the perfect venue for family days out this half-term. The centre is designed to be inclusive and accessible, and features two state-of-the-art sensory rooms, perfect for guests with additional needs. The exciting indoor adventure centre includes:

Alpaca Trekking @ Ballyburren Outdoor Escapes

Walk with a gentle alpaca around a stunning 1.4km stoned pathway that meanders through farmland, woodland, and wetlands, over bridges and undulating picturesque terrain.

At the end of your guided alpaca trekking experience, you get to stop at a coffee trailer located on a small island in one of our ponds to enjoy a proper tea or coffee and of course a delicious bake or two! There is also an option to pre-book a luxury picnic hamper to be enjoyed at a picnic table after the experience.

We are so excited for the return of the Easter Bunny Hop Event at Streamvale Farm, running from 23rd March to 5th April! Are you ready for an Easter Egg Hunt like no other?!
The Bunny Hop Challenge will get your kids buzzing for Easter… thousands of eggs scattered, it’s a dash for time before the Easter Bunny tries to steal them!

Easter at Let's Go Hydro Resort is going to be a pretty sweet time. In fact, it's going to be Eggscellent. We LOVE Easter because as well as it being acceptable to eat chocolate for breakfast, it's also a perfect reason to get outdoors for the first time in ages, be active and spend time with your family and friends. From 23rd March 2024, Let's Go Hydro Resort Water Park reopens with a GIANT EASTER EGG HUNT & FUNDAY. With 10,000 Easter Eggs, for chocolate loves across the Easter fortnight.  A few golden eggs will also be waiting to be found in eggschange for a special prize. It's going to be very Eggsciting!

Guess How Much I Love You Trail

Gather up all your little and large nutbrown hares for an activity for all ages. The Guess How Much I Love You Public Art & Literature Trail is a fun, free activity based on the book by Lisburn resident Sam McBratney. It can be accessed via the app or followed on a map collected from the local Visitor Information Centre in Lisburn in the Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum.
