About
2024 marks 50 years since the foundation stone was laid at St Mark’s Ballymacash and to celebrate we are organising a Christmas Tree Festival with the theme of “Love came down at Christmas”.
The event is a great opportunity for the community to come together to mark this special year with us. Entry to the event is free, although we do encourage a donation to help with the upkeep of the church. Those attending the event will be able to buy light refreshments after following the Christmas tree trail and voting for their favourites.
Local community and church groups and businesses will be sponsoring and decorating the Christmas trees. Trees will be available to purchase, once the event is over (Battery lights included but decorations not included).
Local school choirs, organists, and musicians will provide a Programme of music over the weekend.
There will be a mini Christmas Tree competition for under 18s. Entry is free, and guidance will be available by the end of September.
For more details about how you can help support the event or if you would like to take part, please contact Revd Lynne Gibson - lynneballym@gmail.com
