Food and Drink Events
Here in Lisburn & Castlereagh we have a jam-packed food and drink programme of events throughout the year, including the popular Royal Hillsborough Farmers Market. Set in the heart of Royal Hillsborough amongst the old walls and tree lined 'The Dark Walk' at Hillsborough Fort, the Farmers Markets feature the finest local and seasonal farm-to-market produce and artisan food from across Northern Ireland. A selection of designer craft, art, organic skincare and sustainable living products to complement the food and drink offering can also be found. Other fantastic food and drink events include the Moira Speciality Food Fair and Inns Cross Market on the first Saturday of each month.
Family fun days
Lisburn & Castlereagh is the perfect destination for a fun-filled family day out, with a variety of events taking place throughout the year to suit every taste and budget. History and Culture
If you love history and taking in the culture of a destination then look no further than Lisburn & Castlereagh. We have a variety of historic locations which open their doors for free every September as part of the European Heritage Open Days (EHOD) including the Ulster Aviation Society; a unique array of 30+ historic aircraft and exhibits celebrating Northern Ireland’s aviation heritage, run by volunteers and open to the public for free as part of the EHOD events.
Music Events
There are a number of exciting musical events taking place across Lisburn & Castlereagh throughout the year, including The Hilden Beer & Music Festival in August, Summer Music in the Gardens at Hillsborough Castle and Sounds Like Saturday in Lisburn City Centre.
