About
This year marks the 200th anniversary of the establishment of Hilden Mill. To celebrate this important milestone in Lisburn’s industrial past, the museum has unveiled a new exhibition, Hilden Mill 200 Years: Portraits of the Barbours.
The exhibition offers the opportunity to view portraits of four generations of the Barbour family, alongside photographs, video, books, adverts and objects from the mill’s long history. It explores the influence of the family and their business – William Barbour & Sons and the Linen Thread Co. – in Lisburn, and worldwide. Take a moment and share your memories of Hilden Mill and the Barbour family.
