About
JOBY FOX
Veteran songwriter, musician, and humanitarian, Joby Fox started out in post-punk (The Bankrobbers) and Celtic rock (Energy Orchard) before his solo career kicked off in 2011. From Belfast, Joby, a diverse artist living between Ireland and Denmark, interprets his heritage in new ways, often working on international collaborations and across genres. Recent projects include working with a young jazz trio from Denmark, and another with a group of traditional musicians, from Syria, now living in Belfast.
Joby’s latest album ‘I Once Was a Hawk Now I’m a Dove’ was recorded and mixed in Medley Studios, Copenhagen with one of Denmark’s top producers Søren Mikkelsen. It is already getting fantastic reviews in UK: ‘He has always been an emotional artist, but this is exceptional work … with a brooding power that’s akin to Christy Moore and Van Morrison’ Stuart Baillie.
