The first market of the year in the village will take place on Saturday 25th March at The Dark Walk at Hillsborough Fort from 10am-3pm.
With 50 traders lining up on The Dark Walk, you can expect to find a wide variety of delicious food and drink options. From street food to speciality coffees, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Artisanal food stalls will feature Northern Irish Dexter and Short Horn beef and Buffalo meat as well as Irish cheeses from Indie Fude. There will also be a range of jams and chutneys and smoked salmon and seafood from The Oystercatcher.
Treat yourself or others with certified organic skincare products from Mrs R’ganics and vegan lip butters and balms from Plumpy Balms.
The Royal Hillsborough Farmers’ Market isn't just about food; it's also a great place to find unique crafts created by talented artisans. Whether you're looking for handmade jewellery or handcrafted pottery, you'll find it all here. With so many different vendors selling their wares, you are sure to find something that catches your eye.
In addition to the fantastic selection of food and crafts on offer, there will also be plenty of activities for children to enjoy. Children can look forward to street theatre performances, craft activities, face painting and balloon modelling.
But the Royal Hillsborough Farmers’ Market isn't the only reason to make a day trip to this picturesque town. There are some great historic walks taking past Hillsborough Church and Hillsborough Fort. Or take the sculpture trail around Hillsborough Forest and stop off at the adventure playground with the kids.
