Royal Hillsborough Christmas Market returns to The Dark Walk and Hillsborough Fort for one day only on Friday 13th December 2024. The market starts as twilight sets in at 3pm until 9pm.
Come and discover unique gifts, and new decorations for your Christmas tree, or stock up on Christmas treats and enjoy the music and hot street food.
Festive Artisan Food & Drink
This year’s line up has some absolutely fantastic traders from across Lisburn & Castlereagh and beyond. You will be spoilt for choice with the number of stalls selling Christmas gifts, foodie treats and festive staples.
This year's highlights:
Don’t miss Lisburn award-winning bakery, The Daily Apron and their chocolate and cinnamon sourdough, spiced fruit Danish, cranberry curd croissants, Christmas-shaped shortbread, sourdough, focaccia and Guinness and treacle wheaten.
Royal Hillsborough bakery, Kin & Folk will have a selection of their delectable handmade treats and pastries including lemon meringues, mince pies, whoopies, cookies, cruffins and custard tarts.
While Royal Hillsborough neighbours, Tori’s Coffee Cakes & Bakes, will be offering festive Biscoff & peanut balls and a wide variety of breads including wheaten loaves, spelt and honey wheaten, brioche, soda breads and focaccia with Christmas flavours.
Carryduff based Hinch Distillery will be there with their multi-award winning Ninth Wave Irish Gin and range of Whiskeys.
Perfect for gifting. For snacking, Jack’s Fudge will have their delicious handmade fudge and Little Popcorn Shop will have their kettle corn in moreish festive flavours.
Street Food
There will be a delicious selection of hot drinks and delicious food to choose from to enjoy at the market set against the beautiful backdrop of Hillsborough Fort.
Find wood fired Artisan Neapolitan Pizza from Pizza Table. They will have a delicious Christmas special pizza of turkey, ham, homemade stuffing with cranberry chutney.
Also with a festive offering will be Pig Out with an Irish pulled honey roast ham with our homemade stuffing and a sprout slaw). You’ll also be able to choose from delicious seasonal soups and sandwiches from The Gardener’s Kitchen.
Hot sweet and savoury crepes from The Crepe Makers and hot drinks from Loki’s Coffee or The Fancy Fox. Check out Autumn Harvest for their own Hot Spiced Apple - it's both deliciously warming and festive.
Unique gifts from local artists and crafters
We have a great selection of traders this year, where you can find lovely handmade items and gifts for friends and family.
Almost every category of gift is covered with pottery, cosmetics and skincare, jewellery, leather goods, hair accessories, textiles, knits, scented candles, books and homewares which make really lovely gifts.
We're thrilled to welcome back Hillsborough ceramicist, Wendy Ward with her beautiful porcelain tree decorations, vases and tealight holders.
Also from Lisburn & Castlereagh, we have Amber Jordan Design with uniquely designed and locally manufactured homewares, luxury art prints and everyday kitchen textile goods. Amber will also have her Christmas cushion collection and tea towel range.
Bringing ready-to-wear luxury jewellery will be another local designer, Monday’s Child with their range of necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings.
You can also find hand-poured soy candles from The Bearded Candlemakers and Aggi & I, children’s books from Still I Rise Storytelling and Christmas decorations from Sarah & Mart’s Art.
Lisburn local, Barkelicious Bakes will have doggy advent calendars, crackers and Christmas pudding treats. We also have Don’t Forget the Dog with handmade tweed accessories.
Live Music
We’re delighted to have live music and entertainment right throughout the afternoon and evening. Including the popular Rock Choir and No Strings Collective Ukes / Rhubarb Ukes.

At the same time as the market, Royal Hillsborough's independent shops will be staying open for late-night shopping.
