About
Part of the critically acclaimed Big Foot Family which can be found in other international locations such as Monaco, Paris, New York, Cartagena and San Jose, Big Foot’s huge feet represent human kind’s universal attachment to the planet and our anchor to the fragility of the world in which we live. The sculpture is built of fiberglass resin and stands over 16ft tall. It is treated with a very special chameleon paint that changes colour from green to purple catching light reflections.
THE ARTIST: Idan Zareski is an award winning artist known mostly for his signature sculptures with oversized feet known as the Big Foot family which he uses to symbolize our roots to the earth, acting as an anchor that binds us to the land unifying people.
Struck by the lush green location and beautiful dappled canopies formed by the trees in the forest setting, the sculpture was specifically created to sit within this natural environment. The sculpture’s position, means that it is bathed in a cloak of foliage that changes with the seasons surrounding it, enhancing its subtle prismatic green finish, and mirroring the changing light.
